L.A Girl Glazed Lip Paint - Intense & Glossy!!!
Due to the fact that I have dry skin I tend to gravitate towards the glosses and velvet finishes. I think deep down I'm always paranoid and worried about looking ashy, crusty and dead so matte make-up makes me slightly hesitant. These lip paints caught my eye and I immediately grabbed the only colors left on the shelf that tickled my fancy. These Glazed Lip Paint claim to be super intense and extra glossy which is an immediate selling point for me and to add the cherry to the cake, they cost $5 on their site. These lip paints come in 18 shades.
Claims: Our intensely pigmented Glazed Lip Paints give the appearance of a lipstick with the ease and glossy finish of a lip gloss. The Glazed Collection includes 18 trendsetting colors that provide hyper glossy and ultra rich color to lips. Added benefit of the formula includes vitamin E and peppermint oil to cool and nourish lips. Applicator with precise tip is provided for smooth and even application.
To think I used to be that girl who shied away from any shades of pink. I love this shade. It's a pretty purple that has blue undertones which work well with my complexion. It's a vivid color but not bright to the point where no-one takes you seriously. It spreads on smoothly and evenly so you don't have to worry about streaks.
DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! With colors like these I always fear looking like a crack addict. The ashy, ghost-like appearance is a bug NO for us melanin infused girls! This is an orange gold shade and it applies evenly and easily. It is super glossy and thick/rich. Out of all three, i actually did smell a hint of peppermint in this lip paint.
I had such high hopes for this one! The shade is gorgeous, I mean I'm always a sucker for a dark lip but this one disappointed me. Well the shade was and is stellar but the consistency is not. As you can see from the pics the product was not even and this is the worst thing to deal with with dark shades because that's the first thing anyone would notice. The best thing to do with this one is to apply a thin layer and just accept having a fraction of the pigment. From afar no one would notice so don't let my disappointment deter you from trying this paint.
In conclusion, with all 3, the shade lasted long but most importantly, my lips felt very moisturized the whole time. Yes, I recommend trying these!
